Dr. William J. Lee Sr., was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan to two Christian, Seventh-day Adventist parents, the late Mr. James Lee Jr, and Mrs. Jean Lee.
Dr. William J. Lee Sr. is a gifted preacher of God’s Word. He preaches a powerful message for this end-time generation.
Flowing under a strong anointing, Pastor Lee is a trailblazer. His messages touch the hearts of adults and youth alike. He strongly believes that Jesus Christ is soon to return, thus he ministers with great passion and enthusiasm proclaiming the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.
Dr. Lee ministered for 20 years, serving in the Lake Region with distinction and honor. He began as a seminary intern at his childhood church, Highland Ave Seventh-day Adventist Church in Benton Harbor, MI. During his second year of seminary, he began full-time responsibilities pastoring the Trinity Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kalamazoo, MI. During his tenure, he also pastored the Jackson Summit, Grand Rapids Bethel, Indianapolis Capitol City, and the Chicago Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Churches Dr. Lee served as Departmental Director for Men’s Ministry for 7.5 years.
Pastor Lee currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Dr. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama; (Magna Cum Laude) a Master of Divinity Degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan; and he has earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Andrews University concentrating in Urban Ministries. His dissertation was entitled, “A Strategy to Increase African-American Male Membership in the Adventist Church.”
Additionally, Dr. Lee currently serves as an adjunct professor at Oakwood University Religion and Theology Department. He also serves as the Radio Chaplain for WJOU 90.1 Christian Radio Station in Huntsville. For several years Dr. Lee served as the host of 3 Angels Broadcast Network Television Program called, “For Guys Only.”
Dr. Lee is the author of two books. “Ready, Set, Go! Igniting African American Males for Christ, and a daily devotional entitled, “Pursuing the Favor of God.”
Pastor Lee married his high school sweetheart, Ms. Latoria Thomas-Lee. They have been married for 20 years. The Lees have two children William Jeffery II and Christopher Joshua. Any success achieved by Pastor Lee is always attributed to the hand of God and those who have helped him along the way. One of his favorite Bible texts is Romans 8:31, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” He enjoys basketball, tennis, cruises, and long walks with his family.
